Dr. Jeffrey McClellan is a scholar practitioner with a focus on helping people to develop as leaders in order to achieve success in their personal and professional lives. Before earning his Ph.D. in Leadership Studies at Gonzaga University, he worked as a career and academic counselor/coach, an educational administrator, and a training director and internal consultant. He currently works at Frostburg State University as a Professor of Management where he teaches courses in leadership, management, and international management. At FSU he has served as the co-coordinator of the leadership minor, co-director of the leadership center, and worked with the HR office to develop and lead its leadership development efforts for faculty and staff. Jeff also teaches multiple leadership courses in Germany and Ecuador each year.

His areas of expertise are in international leadership development, servant-leadership, and educational administration. He has conducted over 80 presentations at professional and academic conferences hosted by the Business Association of Latin American Studies, the International Leadership Association, the Association for Talent Development, and the Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership, among others. Jeff has published 50+ articles & chapters in professional publications, academic journals, monographs, and books including the International Journal of Servant Leadership, the Journal of Leadership Studies the European Journal of Training and Development, the International Leadership Journal, and the Journal of Leadership Education.

Jeff also has extensive experience as a trainer and consultant. He has facilitated or performed hundreds of professional presentations, speeches, training sessions, and consultations for numerous businesses, non-profit organizations, and universities: including multiple sessions with ELP partners.

Jeff lives in Hagerstown, MD with his wife and their five boys. He also has two incredible daughters who are no longer at home and one son who is married and serving in the military. He is a grandfather to two lovely girls. In his spare time, he is an avid reader and traveler who believes in collecting and sharing great memories with the people he loves.
