Improved Leadership. Competitive Advantage.

danbrownDan is an Executive/Leadership Coach and OD Specialist for ELP. Dan earned his degree from the University of Maryland. He’s exceptionally well credentialed in the leadership arena evidenced by his Associate Certified Coaching (ACC) status with the International Coach Federation (ICF). Of particular note, he earned his coaching qualifications through Georgetown’s prestigious coaching program.

We, and everybody who meets Dan, respect him because he’s been in the shoes of those he coaches. His coaching comes from an enormous wealth of experience that’s tough to mimic. In particular, he can boast 30 years as a business owner and leader. His leadership journey runs the gamut from front-line supervisor to President of an Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Companies, to serving on the board of UCG, which remains one of America’s largest, private B2B information firms. Dan’s done an elegant job integrating his work experiences with top shelf coaching and OD tools. His badges and certifications include: the Emotional Social Competency Inventory, the Leadership Circle Profile 360, and the Maturity Assessment Profile. He is also unique in that he’s certified in The Immunity to Change coaching protocol developed by Dr. Robert Kegan of Harvard University, used to help leaders and their organizations overcome resistance to change.

Dan brings to ELP's financial-services clientele a strong background in bank regulation, enforcement, and supervision. As former publisher of "The Bank President’s Letter and Bank Safety & Soundness Advisor", Dan has provided institutions with news, analysis and guidance to help them comply with FDIC, OCC, and Federal Reserve safety-and-soundness requirements. His knowledge of the CAMELS exam process and of the policies and procedures required to avoid or comply with regulatory enforcement orders enables Dan to be especially effective as a coach in ELP engagements with financial institutions. Of course, Dan excels as a coach across all settings, and to this day still holds the internal ELP record for most impressive interview performance, which included a rigorous role play scenario!

When Dan’s not knocking the socks off a client engagement, he loves classical music, and, by all accounts, is without peer when it comes to all things related to the kitchen, cutlery, and cookery.
